What is Gateway Home?
Gateway Home is an empathetic and loving comfort care home for the terminally ill. Comfort care homes offer 24/7 care for people who are terminally ill, have three months or less to live, and have elected to no longer pursue curative treatment. We focus on improving the quality of life, and death, in a home-like setting which allows families and friends to assist as much or as little as they desire without undue stress. All care is provided at no cost to the resident or family, nor do we receive any reimbursement from insurance companies, Medicare, or Medicaid. Operating costs for the home are covered through community and organizational donations, fundraising, grants, memorials and bequests.
